A Pylewell Park Wedding Amidst the New Forest Splendour

As I drove through the enchanting New Forest on a perfect spring day in May, I couldn't help but feel excited for Robyn and Edward's country house wedding at Pylewell Park. The countryside was alive with wild horses roaming, and people were out enjoying the warm sun. The long driveway led me to the stunning Grade II listed house, hinting at the grandeur of this magnificent wedding venue.

Upstairs, I found Robyn getting ready with her mum and bridal party in the luxurious suite. The large room, with its high ceilings and bay windows, offered a lovely view of the house gardens below. I could see Edward and his best men playing rugby on the lawn before getting ready for the wedding ceremony.

In the marquee, final touches were being added for the wedding breakfast. Soft pastel flowers created a beautiful setting for the celebrations. I captured Robyn putting on her flowing Suzanne Neville dress, which suited her perfectly. Downstairs, her father waited in the grand entrance hall for their emotional first look before leaving for the ceremony.

From Boldre Church to Pylewell Park

The wedding ceremony took place at St John's Church in Boldre, a charming setting surrounded by May blooms. Edward looked nervous but ready as Robyn walked down the aisle. After a sweet ceremony, the couple exited to a shower of confetti, with the page boy throwing the last bits as they left for Pylewell Park.

The drinks reception was held on the lawn, with an impressive oak tree providing shade as guests mingled and enjoyed music from "The Wandering Hands." After some group photos, I explored the acres of parkland with Robyn and Edward, using the colorful flowers and historic architecture for their portraits.

Inside the marquee, the couple made a grand entrance to cheering guests. The wedding breakfast was filled with laughter, great food, and heartfelt speeches. The lively atmosphere hinted at the party to come, and "The Ambassadors" band delivered the perfect mix of soul and party tunes.

Golden Hour Glory at Pylewell Park

As the sun began to set, I took Robyn and Edward for some golden hour photos. The front of Pylewell Park provided a stunning backdrop as the sky turned amber. Back in the marquee, everyone danced the night away.

Exhausted but happy, I drove back through the New Forest, thrilled to have discovered such a fantastic venue for weddings and events so close to home. The Pylewell team had done an outstanding job throughout the wedding day. I was already looking forward to day two of the celebrations - a relaxed BBQ and drinks in Lymington to help soothe any sore heads!
